Securing your account starts with enabling Google Authenticator. Here’s how to do it step by step on your phone:

1. Download the app – If you don’t already have the Google Authenticator app, go to the App Store or Google Play, download it (it’s free), and install it.

2. Open Bybit – Launch the Bybit mobile app and log in.

3. Go to Security Settings – Tap your profile icon in the top left corner. From the menu, scroll down and tap Security.

4. Enable 2FA – Find the option that says Google Two-Factor Authentication and tap Settings.

5. Email verification – Bybit will send a code to your email. Copy it and paste it into the app.

6. Setup key – You’ll now see a QR code and a setup key. Since you’re on the same phone, you can’t scan the QR code directly. Instead:

   • Open Google Authenticator.

   • Tap the + button and select Enter a setup key manually.

   • Give the account a name (for example, “Bybit”) and enter the setup key.

7. Backup key – Write down and store your backup key somewhere safe. This is crucial if you ever lose your phone.

8. Activate 2FA – Copy the 6-digit code from Google Authenticator, paste it back into Bybit, and confirm.

1. Go back to the home screen in the Bybit app.

2. At the top, you’ll see a banner prompting you to verify. Tap Get Verified Now.

3. On the verification page, you’ll see four options for documents:

   • ID Card

   • Passport

   • Driver’s License

   • Residence Permit

4. Choose one and follow the instructions:

   • Upload a photo of your ID.

   • Take a quick selfie for the liveness check.

It’s very straightforward—just follow the prompts on screen.

Once submitted, Bybit will review your documents. This may take a little while, so keep an eye on your email for confirmation.
